ROI Helps the Joe Andruzzi Foundation with their Mission to Create Food Security for Cancer Patients

The team at ROI has built our business on our commitment to advocating for successful outcomes for our technology clients. But our advocacy doesn’t stop there. Our success was made possible by the community that surrounds us and so we are committed to giving back by advocating for them when they are in need.

That’s one of the reasons we are proud to be supporters of the Joe Andruzzi Foundation, an organization whose mission is to relieve patients in the New England area and their families of the financial toxicity they face while bravely battling cancer.

An alarming number of cancer patients have to choose between feeding their families and getting the treatment that they need. Many even end up in bankruptcy. JAF works to alleviate patients of this burden by providing them with financial assistance, allowing them to pursue the care that they need and continue to provide for their families.

The foundation offers financial assistance for treatment, as well as for rent and bills, food costs and other essentials, alleviating them of stress and allowing them to focus on healing. ROI’s CEO Joe DeStefano serves as Vice-Chair, and our President of Communications Dan Gil is one of the foundation’s Directors.

JAF is implementing a new food security program, supporting patients in their recovery with gift cards for healthy meals. ROI is the presenting sponsor of this program.

A number of us have watched loved ones battle cancer. We understand the struggles associated with this illness, and it is a personal cause for many of our team. We are grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most. ROI’s company culture centers around community involvement. Our community has helped us grow and thrive as a business, and it’s our duty to contribute the same to them.

Board Director and President of Communications Dan Gil puts it best: “If we’re going to call ourselves advocates, we’d better live up to that.”

If you feel moved to be an advocate too, we’d be more than happy to help facilitate your business in sponsoring the food security program, generously making a donation, or participating in future events. There are plenty of ways to help.
